Dolce V Cucina Italiana Brings Authentic Flavors to Woodhaven

New Italian Restaurant Opens Its Doors with Familiar Faces and Time-Honored Recipes

Woodhaven's culinary scene is set to be enriched with the grand opening of Dolce V Cucina Italiana on October 16.

This new establishment is spearheaded by Vince Cangialosi, a name well-known among Downriver diners.

Vince, alongside his sons Luca and Noah, aims to deliver an authentic Italian dining experience.

The Cangialosi family has a rich history in the restaurant industry, having previously operated the beloved Dolce Vita Ristorante in Riverview and the Dolce Vita Grill in Monroe.

After a stint running restaurants in Florida, they have returned to Michigan to share their passion for Italian cuisine.

Vince emphasizes the commitment to quality, stating, "Everything will be made fresh, in-house."

He adds, "My espresso comes from Italy, and my extra-virgin olive oil comes from a town I grew up in Sicily."

Diners can look forward to a menu that pays homage to traditional dishes once served at La Dolce Vita Ristorante.

Expect a variety of chicken, pasta, and seafood options, along with new additions like rice balls (arancini).

The restaurant's location at 16075 West Road has undergone a complete transformation.

Once a Blockbuster video store, the space now boasts warm tones, soft lighting, and a backlit granite countertop bar with seating for about a dozen patrons.

The dining area features high ceilings, exposed ventilation, and a mix of table and booth seating.

Additionally, there's a wine room designed for private dining and an open kitchen that allows guests to observe the culinary process.

With a total seating capacity of approximately 75, Dolce V Cucina Italiana will be open for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 5 p.m.

The grand opening is scheduled for October 16, inviting the community to experience a taste of Italy right in Woodhaven.
